Her early successes in the performing arts, which are now known by the name of Maureen O'Hara, would certainly qualify her to being in the "child prodigy" category. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons completed this lovely family. Maureen was an athletic natural and loved playing sports. This passion and her gift in performing was astonishing. She was awarded nearly every Feis Award for Theater and Drama that her country had to provide. At the age of 14, she joined the Abbey Theater to follow her goal of studying the classical theater and operatic singing.
