Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Fharquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she studied the flute piano and the harpsichord over three years. She survived on a student salary and part-time work in order to make ends meet. Lennox felt that her skills aren't the same as her Royal Academy classmates. So she thought about alternative routes she could choose. Lennox began her career as an instrument player within the band Dragons Playground. The group broke up prior to their appearance in I.T.V's talents program New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist to The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. They met Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. Then, Lennox began working on her first solo album Diva which was released in the year 1992. Commercially and critically the album was a massive success. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album, released in October 2014 is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top jazz, blues and soul songs. Lepidoptera, a collection four piano improvisations was published by Lennox in May of 2019. The E.P. First album of hers, Now I Letting You Go... was released as the soundtrack to her exhibit of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox is a Scottish musician and singer who was born on December 25th 1954. The Tourists were a new-wave group who had some popularity in the latter part of 1970s. Then, she was joined by the band with fellow musician Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo career by releasing her first album Diva in 1992.
